IFFS 2015

06 March 2015

d-Bodhi is excited to present new developments in the second phase of our Aware. Awake. Alive. campaign introduced at last year’s IFFS when we inspired people to wake up and take action for the environment. For IFFS 2015, we aim to make people more Aware of the unique art of our furniture.

Our reclaimed teak wood from old houses in rural Java gives a rich character to the finished pieces not found in newly harvested wood. Naturally aged for 30 – 50 years the wood itself is embedded with the wear and tear of the years and the stories of the people who lived in those homes. There is a spirit, an energy, transferred to the wood that is felt by the end-users.

Beyond the environmental value of using reclaimed teak wood, each piece of d-Bodhi’s high-end art furniture is truly one-of-kind. Our artisans create the furniture by hand, with simple tools and skills passed down through generations.

Our professional designers and craftspeople, the cultural heritage of Java, and the rare circumstances that allow us to access this naturally aged teak wood, all contribute to the distinctive d-Bodhi look.
